THE ORIGINAL POEM PRESERVED FROM THE EARLY WEB

The Flower Poem

Author Unknown

I look out my window, what do I see?

I see a Meadow filled with Beautiful flowers.

A wind blows across this wide meadow.

I notice one particular flower.

not a large or bright flower

but rather a plain white one.

I see that to every blow of the wind

a petal falls to the ground.

Soon after, I notice that this flower

only has one petal left.

This petal holds on with everything

it gots, and with all its might.

Suddenly with the wind no longer blowing.

The petal still exist on that flower.

What courage, what strength, what love!!

I feel as if that flower is me, and the petal is you..
